Your alarm system can normally be reset simply over the phone, just call our office (during office hours) or our 24/7 on call engineer and they will assist you to reset your alarm.
The alarm will ring until reset and depending on the type of response service you have selected when purchasing your alarm, the following happens.
Keyholder Response – if your alarm is activated, we receive an alarm alert signal from your system, we then alert you and/or your nominated key holders.M&E Alarms Police Response – if your alarm is activated we receive an alarm alert signal from your system, we then respond to your emergency by contacting you, your nominated keyholders and, if necessary, the Police.
If you have a connected system and we receive a confirmed alarm the police and your key holders will be contacted. A confirmed intruder signal means we have received two sequential signals from different alarm sensors e.g. from a door sensor and then a movement detector.
A well maintained alarm system will revert to it’s standby battery and maintain the integrity of the system until power is restored. The battery will then recharge itself after power has been restored.
Changing your telephone provider shouldn’t effect M&E alarm systems, but if you are considering a change call us and we can access your individual situation.
Smoke detectors detect the smoke generated by flaming or smouldering fires, whereas CO detectors detect and warn people about dangerous CO buildup caused, for example, by a malfunctioning fuel-burning device.
